The mothers of our scholarship students enjoy workshops centering on subjects they themselves choose, from mental health to soap making, from nutrition to family planning, from legal rights to animal husbandry. This program has become so popular that in 2026 we welcomed other women from the communities, bringing our enrollment to 75.
Giving these women a place to gather and commune, to study and play, has built beautiful community. Isolation is lessened. Confidence is boosted. And skills are learned that have led some entrepreneurs to create small businesses to help support their families.
